In 1999, Jim co-founded Consumer Energy Solutions, Inc. and CASA, Inc. to build one of the most respected and successful energy consulting companies across the U.S. and Canada. In 2014, he acquired sole ownership of CASA, Inc. In 2018, CASA, Inc. d.b.a. North American Energy Advisory (NAEA) merged with Energy Professionals, LLC, and expanded its team of outstanding commercial energy consultants. After receiving his Nuclear Engineering degree from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1983, he served as a Nuclear Engineering Officer aboard the U.S. fast attack submarine, USS Flying Fish (SSN 673), until 1988. He was licensed as a Professional Engineer in the state of Maryland in 1989. Jim worked for Booz-Allen as a Nuclear Engineering Consultant and then the U.S. Government Naval Sea Systems Command managing the U.S. Navy’s Trident Submarine new construction program until the end of 1990.
